2014 George Washington & Brooklyn Bridge Annual Tour

24 RPI 3rd year Civil Engineering students reconnected with alumni and historic bridges in New York City on November 5. The annual tour of the George Washington and the Brooklyn Bridges was once again blessed by good weather.

At the GWB Hector Eugui ’96 discussed his role as Maintenance Manager for the bridge that has over 330,000 daily vehicle movements. Students then toured the New Jersey cable anchorage and took the elevator to the top of the NJ Tower for spectacular Manhattan views. Then it was a diagonal dash across Manhattan to walk over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge built by Washington Roebling, RPI class of 1857.
